Magic Number

Athletics Day.

Last Friday  was athletics day at Pt England School. sprints.

But my favourite game was high jump. Me and my friends were the best high jump athletes. And I came 1. I was happy because I was the best high jumper.

Then we were  racing  along the track.  I don't want to run because I was tired.

Then I went to the parachute and I was Number 1.  Then we did the Poi on the Parachute   

Athletics  was fun and I was hot because you get too tired doing  Athletics games.

Space Art

This week Room 13 made cool pictures about space. We drew and painted rockets and planets. We had to be careful, take time and work hard. We learnt that it was OK to make mistakes. To finish off we wadded some glitter. We feel amazing about our pictures.

Tongan Week

Cross Country

I was feeling nervous because it was nearly time to race the school cross country. I was running my heart was beating fast and I ran so fast too. I got covered in mud but I finished the race. I felt excited because I came second in my class.

Stardome

I went to the stardome with Miss Heger and it was so fun on the flying fox. And it was so fun at the stardome. We did an adventure all around the solar system in a space rocket. I learnt about solar system.

The Moon

The Moon was probably made 4.5 billion years ago when a large object hit the Earth and blasted out rocks that came together to orbit round the Earth. The Moon is much smaller than the Earth. It is airless, waterless and lifeless. The gravity of the Moon, causes two high tides on the Earth every day.

The first person to walk on the Moon was the American astronaut, Neil Armstrong. He stepped out of his space craft, the Eagle, on 21 July 1969 and said these famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”.

My Rocket

The rocket blasts to space to look for food and I went to my house. I went past some planets.

Bike Ramp

We went to the bike track to build the ramp. First we sat on the floor and we used the hammer and nails to build the ramp. First we sat on the we used the hammer and nails. I was happy on the bike. Then we were riding the bikes and we were riding over the ramp. I was helping on the bike. I was happy on the bike. Then we got off the bike and Miss King told us to lock the shed.

Superheroes

All the superheroes had colourful costumes of all variety. Captain America was holding a round shiny stripy shield. The powerful weapons were ready for defence.

Matarki

Pt England School celebrated Matariki by having a special day. The whole school celebrated with an assembly in the morning and then fun activities for the rest of the day. All the kids were split into groups for the activities. We got to work with a different teacher and other kids all day long. Some of the activities were crafts, sports, music and movies. The activity I got to do was sports and we were working with miss vaafusuaga we playd ripper rugby i had fun.

Pirate Lego Writing

one bay some pirates were guarding their treasure on an island. Suddenly, a soldier came in his blue boat he was angry because the pirates had stolen his tresure. he the wanted it back as. As he rowed toward island  he saw a green crocodile . how was he going to get past the crocodile to get to the treasure the pirates were ready to bottle . one of the pirates was holding a sword and a telescope.

The pirates wanted to to take over the village and destroy it they wanted to eat the cow and the fish.

Puddles

One rainy Friday afternoon 12 small boys had the best time of their life. After many days of rain, giant puddles sat out on the field. Giant puddles that were perfect for swimming.

I quickly raced to put on my togs. We ran out on to the field and splashed headfirst into the water. We jumped, ran and did lots of tricks.

Just as I got cold it was time to get out. We ran back to class and got changed. Thank you Miss King for the most fun ever.

Forces on a Kite

Gravity is the force that pulls everything down to the earth. Without gravity we would all float off into space.

Drag is the force that slows object down. Drag increases as an object goes faster,

Thrust is the force that moves an object. When we fly a kite, wind provides the thrust.

Lift is the force that pushes the kite up. Lift is created by air flowing around the kite.

Beach Trip.

Room 13 went to the Pt England Beach in the rain. We found some cards and clay.

We climbed on the cliffs and made clay balls Then I threw the clay at my fiends . everyone was all muddy. After the mud fight we found some crabs and we put the crabs in the bucket.

We went to the top of the bank and we were rolling down the grassy bank. Then we went back to school to do some reading with Gigi.

Swimming

Through the water I swim to the island. Kicking in the water I swam fast. Swimming was great fun.

Omaru Creek

This morning I went for a walk with my class to see the Omaru Creek.

The Rain

Looking  outside I saw the rain pouring down the window. All around the house giant puddles were on the ground. The sound on the roof mead it hard to sleep.

Camp

I can see the tents on the field. The year five and six are camping. I hope there is not too much rain.

All friday we went to the beach for a picnic i played with my friend and the sand and swam in the water we had a lovely day at the picinc.

Bike Track

Last week i went to the bike track opening with my class the sun was very hot so we wore hats.         

the Creek

On Wednesday we lined up at the gate to go and pick up some rubbish on the fields. First we walked to the stinky omaru  creek it smelt like Mr Moran's yucky armpits. Next we went to the farm and picked up the terrible rubbish and we saw a horse.we ran to see the horse finally we went back to school
